The initiative "CO₂-neutral Website" – our contribution to a climate-friendly Internet

Even though web developers do not manufacture physical products, websites and web applications place a significant burden on the environment. The Internet consumes a lot of electricity: servers run around the clock, and users' devices also require energy. This results in large amounts of CO₂ emissions – estimates suggest even more than air freight.

The global initiative "CO₂-neutral Website" aims to voluntarily offset these emissions. Participating companies make financial contributions based on the emissions caused by their websites, thereby supporting climate projects.

Companies worldwide participate in this project – we have been certified since March 15, 2010, making us one of the early web agencies to consistently pursue sustainability.

The result: climate-friendlier browsing for visitors of participating websites.

For you this means: when we manage or develop your website, we consider from the start aspects such as energy efficiency, lean code, and climate-friendly hosting. If you wish, we can also help you run your own website CO₂-compensated and make that visible externally.

Our Handling of Resources – Green Electricity, Recycling Paper, Climate-Friendly Mobility

What we need: Web server, notebooks, power, internet, telephone, a small office with minimal furnishings (3 chairs and 3 desks, a conference table and 4 visitor chairs), little paper, but lots of ideas, creativity, experience and focus. These are our resources.
