Your homepage as a reliable source of information

Do you need an appointment with your general practitioner but can't get through by phone? Do you want to go to your favorite restaurant but don't know if it's open? Find the answers on the homepage? Can you clarify your inquiries at short notice via email? Then digital communication works. If not, there is still room for action here. Improve it in your business!

Phone system down? Short-term changed opening hours?

Some of our clients publish almost daily new information on their homepage. These clients have long committed themselves to good digital communication. They haven't missed any opportunity to inform their customers or patients about the homepage and their email address, e.g., through notices and flyers. They have trained staff in electronic communication and integrated email responses as a regular part of their daily routine.

It's fortunate that communication workflows are already well established and don't need to be created only in emergency situations!

Establish communication procedures

  • Who maintains the homepage? If you do it yourself, do you have the necessary tools for it? Are you experienced in this because it has become habitual for you? or do you first have to arduously gather everything needed?
  • Is your agency available at short notice to help you or to take over the updating for you? Do you have a designated contact person and established procedures for such tasks, e.g., a website maintenance contract?

Build trust in digital communication

Is your doctor’s, restaurant’s, or leisure facility’s homepage a reliable source of information for you? Or have you long given up checking the homepage because the important current info that would interest you was never found there? Then you won't do it now either.

Do you have to call to find out what changes result from the current situation and are stuck on the hotline?

You can do better in your own business! Work towards building long-term trust in your homepage! Therefore, make an advance effort! Make your homepage a reliable source of information, not only in exceptional situations but also during “normal times”.

Establish firm communication workflows between you and your customers. Practice these together with your staff.

This is the ideal case:

  • Procedures for maintaining the homepage are practiced and also work in emergencies.
  • The homepage is already an established source of information for customers, whom they rely on. All customers are aware and consult it.
  • Electronic communication via email is firmly integrated into everyday operations and works reliably. All customers know this and switch to email when they can't get through by phone.
